Wish List FAQ

Who is eligible?

• Residents of the UK and ROI excluding Channel Islands and the Isle of Man over the age of 12.
• Excluding employees of DSG Retail Ltd, its agents or anyone professionally associated with this promotion.

Is there an age limit?

• You must be over the age of 12 to enter. All those under the age of 18 must obtain the permission of their parents / legal guardian in order to enter the promotion and provide personal data. Proof of age and identity may be requested.

Must I purchase something in a Curry's or PC World store or online to enter?

• No, this is a no purchase necessary promotion.

How do I enter?

• Register at www.pcworld.co.uk/wishlist or www.currys.co.uk/wishlist for Great Britain and www.currys.ie/wishlist or www.pcworld.ie/wishlist for ROI. Create your Christmas Wish List using any of the items in the 5 pre-determined product categories. You will then be entered into the daily draw for the day you enter and also a weekly prize draw for the week you enter.

Can I change my wish list?

• No you cannot amend your wish list; however you will be able to enter a new wish list once a week.

What will my friends or family receive if I share my wish list with them?

• They will receive an email with product links through to the Currys/PC World pages. The email will include links to the microsite for entry into the promotion.
• You will also have the option to share your wish list via Facebook and Twitter.

How do I claim a bonus entry?

• After submitting your wish list and personal details you will have the option to share your wish list and claim a bonus entry.
• Wish lists can be shared via email, Facebook and Twitter with friends and family.

How many bonus entries do I get?

• You will receive only one bonus entry into that week's draw regardless of the number of people you share your wish list with.

How do I win?

• There will be 67 daily draws and 9 weekly draws. If your name is randomly selected in one of the daily or weekly draws you will be a winner.
• Winners will be selected subject to validation under independent supervision on a daily and weekly basis.

How do I know which draw I have been entered into?

• You will be entered into the daily draw for the day you enter and also a weekly prize draw for the week you enter.

When do Daily draws occur?

• Daily draws will be conducted between 18th October 2012 until the 23rd December 2012.

What are the dates of the Weekly draws?

• Draw 1 (Opening Draw), for all entries received up to midnight on Sunday 28th October 2012.
• Draw 2, for all entries received between Monday 29th October to midnight Sunday 4th November 2012.
• Draw 3, for all entries received between Monday 5th November 2012 to midnight on Sunday 11th November 2012.
• Draw 4, for all entries received between Monday 12th November 2012 to midnight on Sunday 18th November 2012.
• Draw 5, for all entries received between Monday 19th November 2012 to midnight on Sunday 25th November 2012.
• Draw 6, for all entries received between Monday 26th November 2012 to midnight on Sunday 2nd December 2012.
• Draw 7, for all entries received between Monday 3rd December 2012 to midnight on Sunday 9th December 2012.
• Draw 8, for all entries received between Monday 10th December 2012 to midnight on Sunday 16th December 2012.

I don't have access to a PC, how do I enter?

• In order to enter this promotion you must have access to the internet. Libraries and internet cafés offer internet access to the general public.
• You can also enter in selected Currys or PC World stores.

What are the prizes?

• For the Daily Draws there is 1 x £500 or €600 (dependant on the location of the winner) gift card to be won each day. Terms and conditions apply to usage of the card; see www.dixonsretail.com/giftcards for full terms and conditions.
• For Weekly Draws: One winner each week will win their own Christmas Wish List of gifts (up to a maximum value of £5,000 or €6000 (dependant on the location of the winner)). Wish list items can be found at www.pcworld.co.uk/wishlist or www.currys.co.uk/wishlist for Great Britain and www.currys.ie/wishlist or www.pcworld.ie/wishlist for ROI.

How will I know if I'm a winner?

• You will receive an email informing you that you have won. You will then be contacted by telephone to verify your entry details and validate you as a winner.
• Winners of daily and weekly draws will be notified within 7 days of the draw via the contact details provided at the time of entry.

How long do I have to get back in touch?

• If the winner does not respond within 14 days after the initial notification, they will automatically forfeit the prize and it will be awarded to an alternate valid entry selected at the same time as the original draw.

What is proof of ID?

• Proof of ID constitutes: a photocopy of a utility bill, council tax bill, landline phone bill or driving licence. It must clearly show the same name and address that were submitted as part of the online promotion entry.

How can I show proof of my age?

• Proof of age constitutes: a photocopy of driving licence, birth certificate or passport.

How many times can I win?

• There is a maximum of two prizes per entrant or two prizes per household. Consumers can only win a maximum of one weekly and one daily draw throughout the promotional period; this is on condition that no one else in the household has won a prize.

I have tried to enter online but it is not working, why is this?

Possible solutions:

• Try entering from another PC, as there may be a problem with your PC.
• Your ‘cookies' may be set up in a specific way in your settings which prohibits you from entering. See information online about how to enable your cookies. My entries are being rejected why is this?

• Please check you have entered all your details correctly into all the fields.
• There is a maximum one entry per person per week so a total of nine entries for the entire promotional period. If you have tried to enter more than the allowance your entry will be rejected.

I don't have Flash installed on my computer - can I still enter the promotion?

• Yes, you do not need Flash to access the website.

The postcode I entered online is different to the address I would like the prize to be sent to. Can I still claim my prize?

• Prizes will be dispatched to the address provided at the time of entry.
• You will not be validated as a winner if you have entered with multiple postcodes as this is a breach of the Terms and Conditions. • For security reasons we will require a photocopy of a utility bill, council tax bill, landline phone bill or driving licence sent in as part of prize verification process which must clearly show the same name and address that were submitted as part of the online promotion entry.

I've just won a Weekly Draw! When will my prize be delivered?

• You will be contacted to arrange the delivery of your prize. Prizes will be delivered within 28 days of winner verification.

I've just won a weekly draw, how do I know which list I have won?

• When you are notified as a winner your email will clearly state which draw you have won and what list you have won.
• Lists do not carry over to subsequent weeks; if you win in week 3 you will win the list you created in week 3.

I already have one of the large appliances in my house can I exchange it for this new appliance that's part of my prize?

• Products that are part of the prize are not able to be altered or substituted.
• Where appropriate, fitting of appliances will be provided by the KNOWHOW team (subject to their standard terms) and old, unwanted appliances removed if requested by the winner. Installations apply at point of delivery only.
• If products are out of stock, a similar product of equal or greater value will be offered.

My prize is faulty. What can I do?

• All products will have a manufacturers warranty and a receipt will be issued for the products and services offered as the prize. You will be entitled to an exchange if the goods are faulty. Follow the instructions provided with the product.
• No cash refunds.
• Further terms and conditions apply; these will be supplied with your prize delivery.

How long is my Gift Card valid for?

• If upon 2 years no credit or debit has been made to the card, the card will expire and any balance will be deducted.

What if my wish list does not add up to £5,000/€6,000 as stated?

• The Promoter will not make up the value, if a wish list does not total to £5,000 or €6000 dependent on the location of the winner) exactly.
• There is no cash or other alternative to the stated prizes, in whole or in part.
